That’s why we’ve created Dekomforter Dream Bags, a special initiative designed to provide immediate comfort and essential supplies to survivors of domestic violence, children in crisis, and low-income families.
What Are Dekomforter Dream Bags?
Dekomforter Dream Bags are carefully curated care packages filled with essential items that offer both practical assistance and emotional support to individuals and families in need. These bags are tailored to meet the specific needs of different groups, including:
- Survivors of domestic violence: Our Dream Bags include hygiene products, personal care items, and inspirational materials to offer comfort and dignity during times of transition.
- Children in crisis: Dream Bags for children contain comforting items like toys, blankets, and art supplies, helping to bring a sense of security and normalcy during difficult times.
- Low-income families: For families facing housing or financial instability, Dream Bags include household essentials, basic clothing, and necessary hygiene supplies to ease their burden.

Our Dream Bags are distributed to individuals and families in Cook and Lake counties who are facing a range of crises, including:

The success of our Dekomforter Dream Bags program relies on community support. There are several ways you can get involved:
- Donate: We accept donations of hygiene products, personal care items, toys, blankets, and other essentials to include in the Dream Bags. Monetary donations are also appreciated to help fund the program.
- Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to help assemble and distribute Dream Bags to shelters, crisis centers, and directly to families in need.
- Spread the word: Help us raise awareness about the Dream Bags initiative by sharing our mission with your community and encouraging others to get involved.
