Dekomforter Resource Foundation (DRF) was born out of a deep passion for service and a commitment to helping those in crisis. Founded by Roslynn Walk, DRF has its roots in a legacy of compassion and advocacy, starting over 20 years ago when Roslynn began working in her mother’s nonprofit organization. Through her mother’s work, Roslynn learned firsthand the importance of community support, resilience, and compassion for those facing hardship.

In 2021, after two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Roslynn took the bold step of establishing Dekomforter Nonprofit Association Inc., now known as Dekomforter Resource Foundation. Drawing from her years of experience in the field, she built DRF with a singular vision: to create a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting families and individuals affected by domestic violence and crisis, particularly through housing solutions and support services.

From the beginning, DRF’s mission has been clear—to provide safety, stability, and empowerment for low-income families and domestic violence survivors. Over the years, we have expanded our reach, launching key initiatives like domestic violence support services, health and wellness programs, and the creation of comfort bags for children in crisis.

As we continue to grow, our commitment remains steadfast. We are dedicated to building affordable housing, creating safe spaces, and fostering lasting change in the lives of those who need it most. With the support of our community, donors, and partners, DRF is making a tangible impact, one family at a time.

Our history is one of hope, resilience, and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to rebuild their lives and thrive, no matter the challenges they’ve faced.
